David grew up in Elkader graduating from Central Community Schools in 1980, and University of Iowa in 1985. He has been playing piano since the age of 15, taking lessons for 1½ years, after which he was self taught. His favorite music to play is music from the early 20th century, especially Ragtime and hit parade songs from the 30's and 40's. In his spare time he enjoys genealogy research and watching the Andy Griffith show, along with occasional painting and drawing. Stardust is his first involvement with the OHP.
